If you're looking for security in life, you might be hesitant to pursue a purposeful one. After all, living a purposeful life means chasing something that gives you personal value and allows you to make a difference in the world, often in uncharted territory. This can be intimidating and may not give you the security you want. But it's important to remember that true security comes from within and through a connection with a higher power, not from external sources.
When we rely on external things for security, we're putting our trust in things that are outside of our control. Financial stability, relationships, and material possessions can all give us a sense of security, but they're ultimately fleeting and unreliable. When we rely on these things, we set ourselves up for disappointment and insecurity when they inevitably change or fail us.
On the other hand, a connection with our inner selves and a higher power gives us a sense of security that is constant and unchanging. This connection can guide us towards our true path and purposeful life, bringing fulfilment, joy, and love that a lack of purpose may not.
Pursuing a purposeful life may also bring challenges, like fear, negativity from others, and unexpected obstacles. These can be intimidating and may make us feel insecure about the decisions we're making. But it's important to remember that these challenges are just opportunities for growth and shouldn't be viewed as hindrances.
It takes a lot of courage to make changes in life, especially when those changes mean letting go of the securities we've come to rely on. But it's precisely by letting go of these false securities that we can find greater fulfilment and happiness.
So, if you're looking for security in life, it might seem counterintuitive to pursue a purposeful one. And it does sound like I am discouraging you from living a purposeful life, well, I am not. I am simply laying the cards on the table, and to give you an honest view of what it takes. I truly believe that everyone has what it takes, most just cannot see it yet. It may be scary to take the road less travelled, but it's often the more fulfilling one.
Don't let fear hold you back from living a life that's truly meaningful and fulfilling. Embrace the unknown and have the courage to pursue your purpose, even if it means letting go of external security. The reward of living a purposeful life is worth the journey.
